Overview

Transforming complex academic curricula into digestible, high-engagement digital content requires a rigorous production pipeline. At Nanyang Technological University (NTU), my work focuses on bridging the gap between educators and students through structured flipped classroom modules and high-impact event media production.

The Challenge

Traditional lecture formats often struggle to keep remote or pre-class audiences engaged. The objective was to design a scalable video production workflow that empowers lecturers to deliver pre-recorded core concepts cleanly, while maintaining broadcast-quality visual standards and efficient post-turnaround times.

Production Workflow & Flipped Classroom Design

Working directly with academic staff, each module is broken down from dense theoretical frameworks into modular, highly structured video lessons consumed prior to live sessions.

• Multi-Camera Studio Architecture: Engineered studio configurations utilizing professional multi-cam tracking, controlled lighting grids, and pristine audio capture.
• Pre-Class Optimization: Designing pacing and visual framing specifically tailored to retain student attention during independent study windows.

Post-Production Engineering & Automation

Handling heavy volumes of academic and event footage demands absolute efficiency on the timeline. To eliminate repetitive editing tasks, I developed custom post-production workflows:

• Color & Edit Suite: Primary cutting and grading handled across Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
• Motion Graphics & Automation: Motion packaging built in After Effects, accelerated by custom ExtendScript automation files to batch-process composition adjustments and asset generation across multiple lecture series.

Event Media Production

Beyond the controlled studio environment, the scope covers full-scale campus and corporate event coverage—delivering rapid-turnaround highlight reels and comprehensive media packages that capture the core takeaways of live university functions.
